Ours is a brine bar, Soleseife in German. The salt helps to detoxify and gently exfoliate the skin. May also help with blood circulation allowing the skin to soak in ingredients from other products more effectively. In humid climates you may find the bar sweats, because of the high salt content as it is pulling the moisture from the air. Skin will feel rejuvenated, glowing, soft and smooth. Alae Clay, is formed from volcanic ash deposits. The high levels of iron and other minerals are what give it its red color. The clay is hand harvested, sun dried and then ground into a fine powder. Was traditionally used as a dye in purification ceremonies and to remove poisons through the skin. The scent is an amazing citrus that truly awakens the senses.
