Aila Niu (Oil of Coconut)

Aila Niu produces handcrafted soaps, Virgin Coconut Oil and other coconut based products.  Handcrafted soaps are considered to be true soaps as they are made using oils, fats and natural ingredients while commercial soaps are often petroleum based using distillates instead of natural oils which may cause aggravation and chronic skin ailments.

We enhance the natural beauty and overall health of our customers skin and body by providing premium coconut oil and premium coconut based products at an affordable price.

It all began with the oil.  We are located on the Big Island of Hawaii in Pahoa.  We are surrounded by coconut palms as we are located by the ocean where they grow best.  We wanted to utilize this natural resource and began our journey in making, what we feel, is the best Coconut Oil.  It took us a while to find the right process with many mishaps along the way.  We did finally get there by utilizing the wet milled natural fermentation process.  The oil is light, not heavy and readily absorbs into the skin and hair.

While we began making 100% Virgin Coconut Oil we felt our next focus should be soap.  As so many of us suffer from dry and sensitive skin, it was imperative that we create a high quality product made with coconut oil and other natural ingredients.

Aila Niu coconut milk soap is crafted from a special recipe, utilizing fresh, not canned, coconut milk to leave your skin moisturized and hydrated after the first use.  The recipe did not come overnight, it took 9-12 months, to find the perfect combination of ingredients to create the best soap.  We utilize the hot process method which allows our superfatting ingredients to remain fully active to achieve the goal they are meant for.
